BC Hockey Academy Refund Policy

Cancellation Up To June 1 - Any cancellations by a player received by BC Hockey Academy on or before June 1 will be processed and a $25.00 cancellation fee will apply.

Cancellation After June 1 – No cancellations by a player will be accepted after June 1.     

Medical Cancellations After June 1 - Cancellation is permitted where a player is not able to participate for medical reasons.  A doctor’s note confirming that the player is not permitted to participate is required and upon receipt a refund will be processed minus the $50.00 cancellation fee.


BC Hockey Academy Privacy Policy

In order to meet the needs of our academy participants, and have the ability to care for them, we must collect personal information about them and their families. We do so throughout the registration process using forms such as:

    * Application Form including Family History
    * Medical History Card including Emergency Contact information
    * Permission Forms
    * and other forms online and prior to the start of the session

All of the information gathered is stored in our files which are secured in our locked offices and processed in a secure database with access controls.

The information is given only to those staff who are directly involved in providing a service to your player, or as required by law.

If information is required to be given to a service provider (an individual or company such as the insurance carrier) employed by British Columbia Hockey Academy, we have made certain that the service provider and its employees have a Privacy Policy that prevents them from using the information for any other purpose than that for which they were retained.

We do not sell, rent or otherwise provide your personal or family information to any company, organization or individual. Even when asked for any personal information of a session family by other session families (or from one clinic participant to another), we will not provide them with any information without first asking for consent by the family about which the information was requested.

Besides the care of your player and our ability to communicate with you and your family, we do use the information on hand for statistical analysis for our academy, and to develop programs required for the future.

We do retain your information to enable us to communicate with you in the future, provide your player with recognition for time spent at a session, provide you with information about our programs, and to inform you of new and exciting information that may be of interest to you.

Any information you provide us in relation to your payments are not visible or available to staff or representatives of BC Hockey Academy, or retained from year to year.
